We are a small voluntary controlled Church of England Infant School
situated on the outskirts of Baldock in Hertfordshire. Our school
caters for girls and boys aged 4-7 years. We share our site with
St. Mary's Junior School and our school benefits from two playgrounds,
and fields with wonderful views of Weston hills.
We believe the school should be at the heart of the community and we work in close partnership with our parents, Holly Blue Children's Centre which is on the school site, St. Mary's Junior School, playgroups and nurseries.
We want the children's experience to be happy, secure and stimulating at school. We want then to enjoy coming to school and be excited about their learning and the many activities we plan into the curriculum.
We have a variety of clubs on offer during lunchtimes and after school for year 1 and year 2 children. These include art, gardening, football, science, ocarina, a language (Greek, Spanish, French on offer) Maths - the list goes on and changes quite regularly.
The school has a dedicated and hard working staff of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff who work as a team and value each other. The ethos of the school is very special - all staff and children feel valued and involved in the life of the school.
In February 2010 the "Holly Blue" Children's Centre joined
our site and is to be found at the entrance of our school. It is a wonderful resource for local families with children under 5 years old.
The school plays an active role
in safeguarding children. There is a designated senior person who
oversees this role. The child protection
policy is available in
