A close and happy relationship between home and school is essential in supporting a child’s educational experiences and progress. Parents are encouraged to contact the appropriate member of staff if a problem occurs or advice is needed. We, in turn, will be in touch whenever the need arises. Even if the problem seems trivial but is upsetting your child, please let us know.
Should you wish to speak to a member of staff on a matter taking more than a few moments, it is advisable to make an appointment for after school to ensure that he/she is free of any other pressing commitments.
Parent/Teacher Consultation Evenings are held in the Autumn and Spring Terms each year, and parents receive a written report at the end of each school year which will indicate children’s progress in all areas of the curriculum.
Parents can receive an insight into their child’s daily life in school by joining us on Class Dojo. It also allows direct communication with a child’s teacher through the messaging facility.
If you would like to join us on Class Dojo, please contact the school office.

Emails to staff
All emails to teachers must be sent through to firstname.lastname@example.org. This will ensure that if any staff member is absent that your communication will still be acknowledged and passed onto another member of staff who can support you in the meantime. Please see below who you need to direct particular correspondence to. This will help us all to communicate in a timely manner.
Please see below the procedures for raising concerns. Safeguarding concerns should be sent straight to the Headteacher email@example.com and should not be shared with any other individuals to protect and safeguard any child that the concern relates to.
Please ensure that you follow these procedures for your concerns to be dealt with as quickly as possible. Prior to any meeting with the Deputy Head or Head teacher, all meeting records will be shared with Senior Leaders to progress the next steps as effectively as possible. Parents will be directed to the correct member of staff who can deal with their issue by Senior Leaders, given the nature of the concern and if the above procedures have not been followed.
